After experiencing the affects and restrictions of the pandemic for an extended amount of time, many are craving for excitement and something different overall to give them that spark for life again. Now that a number of places around the world are lifting their restrictions, the fashion industry is set on releasing innovative and stimulating designs to capture the attention of its consumers. Some of the upcoming trends ad styles I’ve noticed are……

Vacation inspired wear

After being cooped up at home for so long, a lot of people can finally leave their homes and go outside for other reasons than grocery shopping and visiting the doctors. Although loungewear remained prominent while the whole world was in lockdown and would most likely remain a staple range of clothing for many retailers. A number of people have sought to wear vacation inspired clothing as an escapism from their current situation. These types of style are brimming with vibrant colours and patterns. Featuring clothing such as crochet tops and dresses, thin wide legged pants, fringe detailing, beach bags, beaded bags and light and flowy tops.

Layering

If there was ever a time to experiment with layering your clothes it’s now. Models featured on runway shows for Louis Vuitton and Tory Burch were seen in layered outfits. This style can range from risky to simple allowing its wears to look more unique while also put together. Some brands have been releasing clothing that seems as though there are multiple layers to the item but is actually sewn all together in to one singular piece. I personally believe that buying these types of clothing are unnecessary since most people can likely find pieces in their wardrobe that they could layer on top of each other and if possible, try looking though social media for inspirations and tips. But I can see how those types of clothing could be helpful for individuals who are new to layering and wants to take part into the trend.

Moody Preppy

The academia and preppy aesthetic in fashion has been popular for a while now and continues to evolve. Recently many high end fashion brands have been reimagining the preppy aesthetics adding more moody and edgy elements to the style. Featuring heavily oversized or cropped rugby shirts, oversized V-neck sweaters, micro miniskirts and extremely cropped sweaters and tops.
